Every Night Sky image  is carefully planned out using tools such as Photo Pills, Google Maps, Sky Safari and Stellarium to track the weather, movement, and precise location of the  Moon and Milky Way. Planning is critical to put you in the right place at the right time. The resulting images are a result of preparation.
